Coding
We decide how the robot will operate and function. This department uses Java to communicate with and tell the robot what to do, determining how the controls operate and how the robot will react.
Designing
We make any designs necessary for the team, among these are the mascot, logo, and website. This department also puts together the decor of the pit, parade floats, and trifolds used at public demos.
Building
We design, construct, and fabricate the robot as well as the parts needed for it. This department focuses on the logistics of the robot, designing and creating the robot’s form and functions.
Marketing
We work to promote our team and facilitate FIRT’s goal of bettering our community. We do this through outreach, interaction with sponsors, and the education of members in the skills of marketing.
Laser Robotics | FRC team 2077
Our organization was started in 2007 as a way for students to learn and grow within the STEM field. Our students have many different opportunities afforded to them through our organization and the FIRST organization as a whole, some of these are scholarships, networking, or job opportunities. We also offer access to 3D machining tools, printers, and cutters, as well as industry standard software such as Autodesk or Adobe products.
FIRST Robotics
FIRST organizes each years game and is dedicated to the youth of the world. Their goal is to further the usage and development of technology by inspiring today’s youth to be tomorrow’s leaders. FIRST is built on the idea of Gracious Professionalism, the belief that competing with and helping other teams is not mutually exclusive. This is what sets FIRST apart from other organizations.
Sponsors
Sponsors are what enable us to continually afford up to date systems, components, and programs. We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors as they allow us the ability to adapt to the everchanging STEM field in a way we would not be able to do without them. To show our appreciation, sponsors enjoy varying benefits depending on how much they donate; of course there is no amount too small and we are always grateful to those who contribute!
