On April 12, our team invited students from 3rd to 7th grade to learn about FIRST robotics and the FLL teams we will be starting this fall. The night started with a presentation about what we do on the team and the ways to join a team. After giving the presentation, we let the families look at our last year’s FRC and FLL robots and projects.

We talked to some 3rd and 4th grade girls about what they would do if they could build a robot. Their unique and intriguing ideas made me realize that STEM curriculum has vastly changed, and fresh minds bring fresh ideas. We left thinking about all of the new ideas and with hope for the future of our team, because we knew these girls, and all of the kids there, would be the people leading engineering and technology in the future.
